The rise of New Labour, and the failure of Yeltsin in Russia. A broad crisis in the New Right vision, but unfortunately they bounced back.

More on New Labour, but NATO’s war on Serbia over Kosovo was the main issue. We noted that it was in defiance of Internation Law, since Kosovo was a Serbian region with no right of secession.

The USA was enforcing Democratic Secession in this case, but ignored it for many other places, including Biafra and Northern Cyprus. And more recently for Crimea, where the mainstream news stopped mentioning that the elected regional government of Russian-majority Crimea had seceded first, and only then asked Russia to annex them.
