DUMB INSOLENCE
I could understand
if the West was peaceful
and all violence was damned
that explosives were only a tool
then you had the right
to moralise
about those daisies under the scythe
those heads that cannot be deodorised
but you sent the bombers
sent the drones
and not a murmur
from you death’s chaperone
about those nameless victims
the family wipe-out
your public lacks a
prim
and proper attitude
caring nowt
until they
some day
also become
prey.
